Student V-VESTS Information

Educational Assistants should always check with the teacher if their student has a Personal Transportation Plan (PTP)

If there is no PTP, it is the bus driver’s responsibility to hook or strap the student in

E.A.s  may want to work together with the bus driver (example: if student is  having a difficult day; if bus driver has several students to strap in  or hook in)

When all is said and done, it  is the bus driver’s responsibility to physically check that the student  is secure before moving the bus

THE E.A. MUST ASK THE BUS DRIVER TO  CHECK ANY STUDENTS THAT THE E.A. HAS SECURED ON THE BUS

If the bus driver chooses NOT TO CHECK the students, write down bus #, time and school name, and send the information to the Association President; @ retea246@gmail.com
